Raysean Love scored 23 points and Anthony Barringer added a double-double as ninth-seeded Warren Wilson defeated top-seeded New Hampshire Institute of Technology 79-74 Thursday night.
NHTI jumped out to a 13-7 lead nine minutes into the game until Tyler Triplett responded with a breakaway dunk for the Owls to trim the lead to four. The game stayed tightly contested with Warren Wilson getting its first lead after a Love three-point field goal with five minutes to play in the half. Love scored four more points before the half ended helping the Owls to a 24-21 halftime lead.

Warren Wilson plays in the semifinals against fourth-seeded Penn State Beaver tomorrow at 5:00 p.m.

From the Warren Wilson College blog:

The basketball team has made it through phase 2 in the USCAA National Tournament. Today they’re playing again at 5 p.m. The Athletics Crew will be streaming the game in Canon Lounge.

Athletics is trying to get a 13-passenger van to get some loyal fans to support their team in the finals. The final would be at 8:15 p.m. Saturday in PA. If you’re interested in joining the van ride and learning more about the trip call 828-333-1241.
