Charlotte Street Pub celebrates 30 in style

In another restaurant-related tidbit, we heard that the owners of the Charlotte Street Pub and Grill celebrated 30 years there this past week. They celebrated because they’re selling – getting out. Who knows what will become of the local landmark. We just know that we liked it when it was kinda dark and dingy and called Steven’s Pub. Those were the days, baby.

But back to the story. During the big celebration this past week, we heard the following story: A dude partying with his girlfriend and a small group disappears for a good half hour, then shows back up in the little billard room in the back of the bar. The dude was seen exiting the men’s room with a lady, a lady other than his girlfriend.

The girlfriend walks over to him, douses him with a Guiness, then proceeds to cuss his ass out. During the ensuing cussing, we learn that she moved to Ashvegas to be with his ass. On and on it goes. Finally, the stunned boyfriend gets his wits together and tells his soon-to-be-ex: “You can go back to the apartment and break all my shit, but I want you OUT by tomorrow!”
