Press release here:

Jennifer Mayer, CEO of Charlotte Street Computers, is pleased to announce her partnership with WOXL and the Asheville Tourists for their annual Easter event promoting community outreach for Asheville’s public housing community residents. Continuing her dedication to the community, Ms. Mayer hopes that this event will serve as both a fun and educational experience for both parents and children and promote community outreach to the families of Asheville’s public housing communities.

Children will participate in a traditional Easter egg hunt on the field and have their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny. Additionally, career and education counselors from A-B Tech and the Asheville Housing Authority will be on hand to provide information and advice to parents.

The event will take place at McCormick field on Saturday,March 27th. Charlotte Street Computers is asking for community donations of Easter baskets, candy, Easter eggs, and volunteers. Please contact Nelson Parets at [email protected] for more donation information or to sign up as a volunteer.

Did everyone catch Asheville Citizen-Times‘ columnist Susan Reinhardt’s great write-up of Mayer on Sunday?

This sounds like a ton of fun. Are they doing it next year as well?
