Carolina Stompers offer $500 reward in case of dirtbag who beat elderly woman

We are offering $500.00 reward for the capture and conviction of a man that severely beat 96 year old Grace Freeman at her home on Jenkins Valley Rd.

Buncombe County detectives say that it was a home invasion.

Mrs. Freeman was found (4/2/09) Thursday evening just before 9 PM on the side of the road and is in critical condition.

She had made her way out of her home and down her driveway before collapsing in the road. Deputies say they think robbery was the motive but that Freeman did not know her attacker.

Deputies say they are looking for a white male in his 20’s.
