CA Conrad will give a public reading from his book Deviant Propulsion at 7 p.m. on Aug. 24 at Outspoken Books, 721 Haywood Road in Asheville. Deviant Propulsion is a collection of poems released by Soft Skull Press in 2006. Find out more about CA Conrad at caconrad.blogspot.com.

CAConrad is a widely known poet who has been published in the Exquisite Corpse and other notable literary magazines nationally and internationally. His work was compared to Allen Ginsberg’s poetry in a Publisher’s Weekly Review of Deviant Propulsion. He has been an active force in the Philadelphia poetry scene for over 20 years and gives public readings frequently in the Philadelphia and New York City areas. The Outspoken appearance will be his first reading in Asheville.
