I’ve gotten a first report from a soft opening at the new Buffalo Wild Wings on Tunnel Road in Asheville. It’s pretty basic, but here’s what I’ve got: double-sided bar with tons of television screens. A young but enthusiastic staff. Great wings.

So here’s the deal: Buffalo Wild Wings is giving the first 100 people who come to the restaurant on Monday a free basket of six wings every week for a year. Hey, it’s free food. That’s nothing to turn your nose up at.

I hear that restaurant managers predict that people will begin camping out in front of the restaurant on Sunday night, so they’re planning to bring in a port-o-potty to serve the wing-lovers. With wet, cold weather in the forecast, you better effing love some wings to camp out.

The BEST wings are at East Village Grille. They have Tiger Wings that beat everyone hands down. And yeah, I’ve had APBC’s wings too, very bland.

Asheville Pizza and Brew – What ever happened to the True fingers of Fire, the sauce they use now is mild compared to what was. . . . I miss that heat

Asheville Pizza and Brew, best wings in town. I’ll gladly pay for them.
