WLOS: Break-in at the Get Down

A thief used a hammer and crowbar to break into the Get Down early Friday morning, stealing the bar/live music venue’s sound system and also taking $200 worth of liquor. Stolen goods total $3000.

Already struggling, the venue is now without a sound system for its live shows.

From WLOS:

A thief stole more than $3,000 worth of equipment from The Get Down in West Asheville. The break-in happened early Friday morning. The bar’s manager says it is the third time in six months the bar has been broken into. Asheville Police say they have a person of interest in the case.
