Russ “Beefcake” Bowen has been promoted to weekend anchor at WLOS. He’ll start when Candy Little leaves to join her hubby, Scottie 2 Hottie Wickersham, in Charlotte.

For the past five years, Russ has toiled away in the Waynesville bureau, compiling mostly solid reports and scoring a hit every now and then. Now Russ gets to show his stuff at the anchor desk.

Congratulations, Russ. You’ve earned it.
