Hey Jason,
Thanks for posting the menu, it’s good to know that Sammie or some other canine didn’t wind up on the table. This group seems to enjoy killing and eating most anything (anyone), I’d advise keeping your beautiful dog far away from the cooks.
Then again, eating a dog or cat would be morally preferable to eating farmed animals, since they would probably have led a good life until you killed them. I have often wondered about this lapse in logic: Why do people who hate cruelty to dogs and cats think nothing of eating a chicken, turkey, pig, or other farmed animal? After all, these animals are made of flesh, blood, and bone–just like dogs and cats. They experience the exact same five senses (they see, hear, smell, taste, and feel). And they feel pain — just like dogs, cats, and we do. And it is widely known, for example, that pigs are smarter than dogs.
Anyway, happy holidays to you and Sammie. How about some recent pictures of her? They always make me smile.
Looks great, and thanks for posting the menu. I have been curious. Now I know there is a lot of meat involved. To each his own, but I’d love to attend a vegetarian version sometime. Happy Holidays!
