Big House Radio, the Last Band Standing

Big House Radio won WNC Magazine’s “Last Band Standing” competition Tuesday night. The contest picks out the best local bands you’ve never heard of, combines online voting with the judging of a live show, then gives the winner the chance to play the Bele Chere festival in Asheville.

It’s a great competition and this year’s finalists were outstanding. Sanctum Sulley, The Scenic Roots and Grammar School were the other three finalists who performed with Big House Radio Tuesday night at the Orange Peel.

Big House Radio brought a big garage-band, guitar-powered party sound and a lot of energy to the stage. They’ll be a great addition to Bele Chere.

Congratulations!

ps I posted a couple more photos of Big House Radio on my flickr page.

It was a great night for music! Just a quick correction – Grammer School is spelled with an ‘e’.
