Leigh Ann Long, smart girl glasses

Word on the street is that there are some big changes coming at WLOS. Fresh off a round of lay-offs, Sinclair has ordered WLOSers to add an hour of news in the morning’s over at sister station WMYA Channel 40 (Channel 9 on Asheville’s Charter cable).

Then there’s some shake-up with anchors: Leigh-Ann Long goes from weekends to mornings at WLOS. Victoria Dunkle will do the new morning show at WMYA while keeping the noon news at WLOS. Holly Headrick will move to the Sunday slot vacated by Leigh-Ann, which means Holly loses the anchor chair she’s held during the 10 p.m. newscast on WMYA.

Any other changes?

I used to date leigh ann and she is a piece of work. We dated in the great state of West Virginia. I could tell some stories on her.. All good of course. I still have some very interesting photos we took together years ago that I had forgotten about til I saw her on this NC station!

Does this mean less professional wrestling and reality prison shows on My-40? Maybe I can live with more (of the same) news after all….

It’s not that Victoria isn’t hot in her own way, it’s that she’s not a very good newsreader.

Victoria is just as hot… I mean.. as CAPABLE a broadcaster as Leigh-Ann is, she has just had two kids, so give her a break, I say.

Good God, WHY, WHY, WHY do we need MORE freakin’ news on "My 40." Maybe if they would kill some of these repetitive and unnecessary newcasts on every channel at all hours of the day, they’d save the money to prevent layoffs. For me, the first straw was when they went to a full HOUR at noon. Now, most of that extra half-hour is filled with crap I don’t need to know like how to paint with rubber stamps or cook some form of chicken.

    This is absurd!!

Seems like WLOS is trying to get more younger people to watch the news in the a.m. … younger anchors to appeal to a younger crowd???

Ever notice that Leigh-Ann Long kinda looks like Megan Fox?

More of Leigh-Ann is a wonderful idea…especially in the AM. I agree with Mountain Man, Victoria is atrocious.

ANOTHER hour of news? Wow. What do we need CNN or Headline News for? Between WLOS and WMYA, we’ll soon have local news 24 hours a day if this keeps up.
