Speaking of Katrina, former WLOSer Mike Bettis was holding down desk duty at the Weather Channel Saturday night, fresh off his on-scene work covering Katrina’s hit down in Florida.

We don’t like Mike Bettis on the desk. We want Bettis in the field, ballcap turned backwards, getting blasted with saltspray. That is when he is at his best.

So Weather Channel people, get Mike Bettis’ cut butt back down to New Orleans or somewhere. We want to see him in action!
