Ben’s Tune-Up Celebrates the Season with Giving

During the holiday season Ben’s Tune-Up is committed to raising awareness and donations for our featured local charity organization, Helpmate.

For over 30 years Helpmate has served as Buncombe County’s primary provider of crisis-level services for victims of domestic violence and their children. We are asking our patrons to donate to Helpmate so that this important local non-profit can continue providing emergency housing, meals, counseling, and outreach to women and children in need.

There are several ways to give to Helpmate when you join us at Ben’s Tune-Up:

• Purchase a handmade can ornament to hang on your tree or ours and 100% of proceeds will go toward Helpmate’s programs

• Drop off warm clothing for women and/or children (new or in very good condition) such as coats, jackets, sweaters, and fleece items, new toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, tampons, baby wipes, toilet paper, etc), and new or gently used children’s books at Ben’s Tune-Up throughout the holidays and we’ll give you a wooden nickel worth $5 to spend with us

• Join us on Saturday, December 21st, 2-5pm for our Tree Trimming Celebration where we’ll be toasting s’mores in the courtyard, making ornaments together, and visiting with Santa Claus; proceeds will be donated to Helpmate

Our upcoming holiday events include:

This is a great time to drop off new toiletries, gently used or new coats & jackets, and children’s books for Helpmate.
