brolin_asheville_2015_1Filmmakers have announced an audition on Saturday for a new movie to be shot in the Asheville area this fall. The makers of Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter are seeking a boy aged 10 to 13 to play a role in the film beside actors Josh Brolin and Danny McBride.

wilmywoodnc.com reports that the movie will tell the story of a famous deer hunter who takes his on on a hunting trip. Production is set to begin in late October, the movie site reports.

deadline.com has these details:

Josh Brolin and Danny McBride are set to star in The Legacy Of A Whitetail Deer Hunter, a movie project from Scott Rudin Productions and Rough House. The logline is under wraps and details are few on the deal, but Jody Hill is directing a script he co-wrote with McBride and John Carcieri. Shooting is set for the fall.
McBride, Hill and David Gordon Green make up Rough House, the outfit that spawned HBO’s excellent comedy series Eastbound & Down and are working on comedy series Vice Principals for HBO, about a high school and the people who almost run it. On the film side, they made 2006’s The Foot Fist Way.
