Apparently the Smokey Park restaurant, and the tasty goodness that is the Krystal burger, are once again gone from our area. Even the one in Travelers Rest has been converted to a Dunkin’ Donuts. Looks like it’ll now take a trip to Johnson City for a fix–maybe even washed down by a second stop at Pal’s for a sweet tea. Now that’s some good eatin’ right there.
Isn’t the Krystal on Smokey Park out by I-40 still open? It looks all lit up on my way to work. Not that I eat those little hand grenades…
Can’t say I’m sorry to see Krystal go. I tried a Krystal burger once…ONCE. I can’t see why someone would pay to eat those things.
From 12 Bones website:
"The rumors are true, Tom and Sabra bought a building in Arden, NC for a second 12 Bones!
It’s an old gas station just south of BB Barns on Sweeten Creek Rd. Hope to be open by the summer, we’ll keep you posted!"
