Ashvegas reader: Nona Mia to open second location in Spring at corner of Haywood and Covington

Here’s the follow-up from loyal reader Dusty:

I talked to the folks at Nona Mia a while ago and they gave me the beta. They are opening on Haywood in the Spring in the building that housed the low rider/motorcycle shop at the corner of Covington and Haywood. Wood fired pizza, artisan breads, local brews, gelato, and more. I love their pizzas but getting the itch for something other than pizza joints to populate Haywood!

Thanks Dusty. You rock! And yes, I love Nona Mia’s giant pizzas.

More tidbits on Haywood Road, in that same general area: fist, the old Cowboy’s has gotten a paint job and been somewhat renovated and the new sign out front says it’s now called “Exclusive.” 

And there’s another Mexican restaurant that’s getting ready to open on Haywood in the same area, though a little closer to Patton Ave.

    Martin’s Pizza and Pasta in River Ridge Shopping Center has closed its doors. Owner Kraig Martin left a notice on the door thanking customers and staff for their support. The place, formerly known as Little Venice, had a run of nearly 10 years,
