The rubble left when fire destroyed the Ashley Furniture store on Patton Avenue last year has been cleaned up. Thank goodness. The pile of burnt up furniture and twisted metal sat there for months. I haven’t heard any word on whether the furniture place will build a new store there, or what might happen with the site. Some chain-link fencing still surrounds the site.

Fire investigators ruled the blaze an arson, and I haven’t heard any updates on that investigation, either.
