On Fri. May 24, in the wee hours towards Sat. someone smashed the window of a white pickup truck in the HomeTrust bank parking lot on the corner of Woodfin Street and Broadway in Downtown Asheville.
The thieves made off with several items, most importantly, a red Gretsch guitar with a skull on the pickguard and a 2×12 fender hotrod Deville amp (see photo)
The victim, Justin Brophy of the Go Devils is a professional musician and needs this gear back.
Please keep an eye out, and if you saw anything, or see anything, please call the Asheville Police Department (case # 13-012774) at 828-252-1112.
And please share this with your networks as widely as you can.
Thanks.

As an asheville musician I have very little sympathy for this guy. Guard your instruments with the utmost vigilance. Too bad Brophy has to learn this 1st grade level lesson the hard way. Everyone else who gigs around town knows this already either from common sense, or the same type of experience he’s going trough now. Wise up.

Thank you do much for your support. The stolen items have All been recovered. The Go Devils thank everyone for supporting local artists and general pride in our town and neighbors.
