Asheville Police Department emergency dispatcher Rich Zayatz competed on an episode of Jeopardy! that aired Tuesday night.

Zayatz showed well. He got off to a great early start on the quiz show and finished second. Zayatz also appeared to bond with host Alex Trebeck – in the chit-chat segment, Trebeck and Zayatz talked about their mutual love of steam-powered train engines, and Zayatz said he once got the chance to operate one.
