ASHEVILLE, NC – In the wake of the devastating tornado that ripped through Oklahoma City, local businesses are working together to help raise money for the victims.
On Thursday, May 23rd Asheville Radio Group stations, Mix 96.5 (WOXL) and 105.9 the Mountain (WTMT), 98.1 The River (WOXL-HD2), and ESPN Radio (AM 1310 & 970) will be partnering with local BoJangles’ to hold three ribbon events throughout the day. At each event, station personnel will take donations for Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to send to the victims of the Oklahoma City tornado. All those who donate will be given a ribbon to tie on their vehicle to show support for the cause.
Donations will be taken by the ARG radio personalities from 7 to 8:30am at the BoJangles location at 974 Patton Avenue. In addition to the ribbon, those who donate will also receive a free “BoBerry” biscuit from BoJangles. In the afternoon, events will be held from 11:30am to 1pm at the BoJangles at 302 Airport Road in Arden and from 4:30 to 6pm at the BoJangles located at 1507 Smoky Park Highway in Candler. Those who donate at these two locations will receive a free large iced tea or iced coffee.
