Costumes are customary and illumination is essential at
Asheville on Bikes‘ fifth annual Pumpkin Pedaller. Join the rolling social tour of of the city. This year AoB offers a two tier ride, Family Friendly and Evening.
Select the one the works for you, or ride them both.
Family Friendly
This tier begins at Stephens Lee Center. Participants can park on Martin Luther King Blvd and wheel down to the Stephens Lee parking lot.
Family Friendly
Gathers @ 2:30pm @ Stephen Lee Center
Pedals @ 3pm
Ends @4pm.
The Family Friendly tier is about 3 miles in length, has a few haunting stops and ends back in the Stephens Lee parking lot. Pull behinds are welcome. All participants need to have solid bicycle skills as the ride weaves throughout the urban district.
Evening Ride
Asheville on Bikes returns to our rough and rowdy roots with this tier. Participants can expect touring Asheville’s urban district through twists and turns fully adorned in Halloween glory. Tricks and treats abound on the Evening tier and culminate at the Wedge Brewery for the best in local beer and Halloween dance party.

Get There Asheville’s “Step 2 It”

Get There Asheville, in conjunction with Western North Carolina Alliance, Asheville Design Center and Asheville on Bikes, hosts a city council candidates’ forum focused on the issues of expanding Asheville’s multi-modal transportation network.
The “Step 2 It” provides participants the opportunity to further engage candidates on the issue of multi-modal transportation. The forum format includes four rounds; a vision round, a command of materials round, a constituent questions round and a final commitments round.
