Asheville musician Kellin Watson launches album project; latest local to use Kickstarter

Kellin is currently working with musician/producer Michael Bellar on her fourth CD – a simple, honest and stripped down recording with echoes of her strongest influences: Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, and Nina Simone.

She has performed with/opened for artists including: Amos Lee, Little Feat, Susan Tedeschi, The Duhks, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. She has performed with/opened for artists including: Amos Lee, Little Feat, Susan Tedeschi, The Duhks, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and has also been a featured performer on CMT (CMT’s Big Break).

First Woody Wood. Now Kellin Watson. Sounds like we’ve got a trend.
