Here’s the release:

On September 4th at The Grey Eagle, The Asheville Music Hall of Fame will
host The 1st Annual Bill Monroe Tribute Show. 8pm $8

Featuring the area’s finest Mandolin players Ty Gilpin, Bobby Miller, Phillip Barker, Mark Shimick, Evan Reily and more. Members of Steep Canyon Rangers and The Lewis Bros. will also be paying tribute to Bill Monroe only a few miles from where he first lived in Asheville in a pull-behind camper with his wife to start his first radio show at WWNC (and Bluegrass Music) with his brother Charlie. The Grey Eagle is the perfect site for such a tribute and The Hyatt Family will be in attendance to make it official.

Wow, Bill Monroe had a show on WWNC at one point? Man, their standards have plummeted over the years…
