Asheville High School/SILSA debate team seeking guest judges

The Asheville High School/SILSA debate team is seeking guest judges for just 2 hours on Saturday, November 20th to participate in the Cougar Classic debate tournament at AHS, 419 McDowell Street, Asheville. This annual event is the major fundraiser for the AHS/SILSA debate Booster Club. Judge training will be provided.

2-hour time slot to judge are:  8-10 am, 10am-noon, noon-2pm, 2-4 pm or 4-6 pm. Plan to arrive 30-40 minutes early, as often the tournament runs ahead of schedule. You can park in front of the school(McDowell St) or behind the school(Victoria Rd). There will be signs and students to guide you. Last year, more than 300 students from North and South Carolina attended the Cougar Classic. Seeing high school students display their hard work is amazing and fun.
