On July 14, 2015, New Mountain will host the Fringe Summer Freak Out! This Fringe Festival Fundraiser Party is a celebration of all things Fringe. The multi-faceted event brings artists and Fringe audiences together and includes pop-up performances, free workshops and a Fundraiser Performance of Fringe Artists.

July 14 marks the opening of the Call for Artists for the 2016 performing arts festival. As always, the Asheville Fringe invites artists of all genres to apply, to work collaboratively, and across mediums, out of their comfort zones. To encourage collaboration and to act as a catalyst for artists to apply, the Fringe Summer Freak Out will offer FREE workshops to artists (and interested audiences and Fringe Fans) to participate in the creative process from 5 – 7:45pm. We encourage artists to purchase a special Artist Discount ticket and attend the Fundraiser, as well.

The Fundraiser performance of The Mysterious Metamorphosis of Mr. Krank, performed by master puppeteers Madison J. Cripps and Keith Shubert, will start at 8:00pm. This ticketed portion of the Freak Out will include complimentary treats, hors d’oeuvres, surprise performances during the cocktail hour, and an artist talk-back after the show. VIP tickets will also be available with special Fringey perks.

The entire Freak Out will happen at New Mountain. Workshops will happen in the Ridge Room and the Theatre will host the ticketed fundraiser.

Workshops are FREE for audiences and artists. Any artist interested in participating in the upcoming Fringe in January 2016 should plan on attending the workshops and registering in advance by emailing [email protected] to register, if they are not purchasing the discounted Artist ticket to the fundraiser.

The ticketed Fund Raiser and performance of The Mysterious Metamorphosis of Mr. Krank is $20. For workshop participants, there is a discounted price of $15. VIP tickets are also available for $40.

Tickets and more info is available soon on the website: www.AshevilleFringe.org
