Press release here:

Local band Josh Blake’s Jukebox offers a winning designer $100 for a new logo in a design contest that ends this Friday. Sponsored by Creative Allies, a local company based in Asheville and San Francisco, the contest lets users upload original designs in hopes of winning a cash prize. There is no fee to enter.

From the Creative Allies job page for Josh Blake’s Jukebox:

I am in need of a logo for my new band named Josh Blake’s Jukebox for stickers and web content, ete. I do not mind having an actual jukebox in the logo, but it is not required.

I have always had an image of a robot (that’s my nickname) who’s made out of instruments…drum machines, maybe a guitar slung across his back…maybe his torso could be the Jukebox. Though this image is cool…a simple readable logo with cool lettering could work just as well.

I think the consecutive J’s and B’s in Josh Blake’s Juke Box could be played with. I like the old Grateful Dead stuff and other ’60s /’70s psychedelia art work, but don’t be afraid to show me something new and all you.

My next show is May 21st, so I would like it in time to use it to promote that gig… Winner gets guest spot for life, and free music and clothing as it becomes available….Thanks for your time and talent!
