ASHEVILLE — Mountain Voices Alliance (MVA) and Asheville PARC (People Advocating Real Conservancy) will co-host an Asheville City Council candidate’s forum this coming Tuesday, September 15th, 2009. (7 – 9 p.m.)

“We felt there was a pressing need to provide the citizens of Asheville with an opportunity to meet the candidates and hear their views on some of the most pressing issues our community is facing,” said MVA Chairwoman Elaine Lite.

“Knowledge is power, and as voters, we need to have as much information as possible before we enter the voting booth to make intelligent and thoughtful decisions.”

Those who have responded and will appear are Cecil Bothwell, J.Neil Jackson, Esther Manheimer, Kelly Miller, Carl Mumpower, Cesar Romero,  and Gordon Smith.

    Hi all,
    Thanks for posting the forum info – it will be held from 7-9 pm at the Randolph Learning Center on Montford Ave. just off I-240 nest to the Chamber. Doors open at 6:30.
