Asheville chef Caroline Williams set to compete in NYC

caroline_williams_2015An Asheville chef will be competing on a grand stage Tuesday.

Caroline Williams, chef de partie at The Admiral, is one of 10 finalists chosen from a field of more than 3,000 to compete in the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2015 competition. The group will face off at Astor Center in New York City. The winner will continue on to the global challenge in Milan later this summer.

Williams will produce her signature dish, which will be judged by renowned culinary judges, including Chef Paul Qui of qui restaurant in Austin, Texas, and Chef Blaine Wetzel of Willows Inn on Lummi Island in Washington.

Ashvegas readers will recognized Williams from a 2013 video series produced in conjunction with Asheville’s iWebXpert to promote the Mountain Oasis Music Festival. Williams was the Ashvegas spokeswoman for the videos. Here’s a sample:
