Beer Guy Tony Kiss reports today that Asheville brewers have decided to band together. It’s a natural move, and it’ll be fun to see what comes out of it:

The Asheville Brewers Alliance is organizing as a nonprofit to promote Asheville-made beer, said Mike Rangel, co-owner of Asheville Pizza and Brewing. Other breweries that have already joined include Highland, Green Man, Wedge, French Broad and the not-yet-open Craggie. Membership will be limited to commercial breweries based in Asheville, which already has a nationally recognized reputation for craft beer. The new Lobster Trap brewery and the upcoming Lexington Avenue Brewery will also be eligible to join.
