"Alternative" when it comes to funeral services generally means cremation and "life celebrations" rather than traditional funeral, burial, etc.
For a while there were complaints down by the river of the "smell" coming from Asheville Alternative — guess that would be the crematory they smelled or maybe thought they smelled. Remembered this recently when riding by and seeing that new development The River…..that’ll be interesting.
