Bele Chere is just around the corner, and there’s a big kick-off party tomorrow. They’ll unveil the poster art and announce a couple of other bands that are coming.

Ashvegas has learned that, along with the bands already announced, Rusted Root will be appearing to play. We heart Rusted Root.

Here’s the list of musicians that have already been announced: Gin Blossoms; Marty Stuart; Shemekia Copeland; the Karl Denson Trio; Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band; Jupiter Coyote; The Lovin’ Spoonful; and a raft of local artists.

Bele Chere, bring it on!

These are the kind of acts that would have been free in the past. Don’t know what they were thinking this year, but it’s disappointing.

Blech…not a big rusted roots fan. I hate jam music, and they are the crappy jam band that got pushed on everyone back in the 90’s.

To me, it’s too much like paying 20 bucks to hear a bunch of guys do a sound check. Its all people just dicking around on guitar and woodwinds 🙂

I miss the days that John Hiatt played bele Chere.

Hey, the Gin Blossoms are playing the Popcorn Festival in Marion! Also Blake Shelton (I’d rather see Marty Stuart).
