Here’s the press release. And here’s a snippet:

Asheville-based Lab Escape has launched two new products, Heat Map Explorer Enterprise Edition and Web Viewer Edition, bringing powerful heat map visual analysis capabilities to the web to improve analysis and collaboration in large organizations and global enterprises.

Early customers include a large financial services company using Enterprise Edition to monitor their IT infrastructure using real-time, interactive heat maps; and a corporate travel management services provider using Web Edition to detect abuse and manage effective sourcing of travel services.

Heat maps allow you to visualize large volumes of complex data so that key details and the big picture can be seen in a single view. This allows easy detection of anomalies tied to increased cost, risk or opportunities for a higher return; identification of ways to improve resource allocations; and capture and communication of critical business trends. High-value heat map applications include risk management, project portfolio analysis, market share analysis, network management and financial performance management.
