Here’s the note I received recently from loyal reader Sandy:

Hey Ash: Thought you might be interested in this (or at least the Asheville Creative Community may be interested in this). The Institute for Emerging Issues has their yearly conference coming up in February (http://www.ncsu.edu/iei/forum/2010/index.php). I know our region is laden with amazing creative people and is very community-oriented. I see IEI has a forum: http://ieicreativity.newkind.com/

Creativity has become an important component of economies, and it would be a shame if the possibilities were lost because the Wonk factor was too high. Maybe AVL creatives can contribute and keep the dialogue on track!
