Peeling sign: Patton Avenue at Clingman Ave. intersection

People are getting tired of seeing these signs around Asheville. This is the worst example I’ve seen yet – two back-to-back signs, with one peeling (background) and one completely peeled away (foreground) on one of the busiest streets in Asheville – Patton Avenue, near the intersection of Patton and Clingman.

Why don't we have an explanation about this situation from someone at city hall? The tattered signs around town are doing more bad publicity for the region than the new signs did when they were first put up. The signs, meant to serve tourists and tourism, are creating an image far more negative than no signs at all. It's time to get some answers from those responsible. If they can't be fixed, quickly, take them down.
