Loyal reader Rose says:

Just got back from the Twisted Crepe on Haywood, across from the library. Great dessert crepes! I’ve tried a few of the breakfast crepes too. Everything is delicious and they need more people to know about them!

Check it out!

Personally, I love the Twisted Crepe. Glad to hear other folks are finding it, too.

We must spread the word about the wonderful offerings at the Twisted Crepe! My husband and I enjoyed both savory and dessert crepes which were perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. We appreciated the slight crispness of the crepe and the generous fillings within. Our dessert crepe was a beautiful combination of strawberries, banana, Nutella, white chocolate, and whipped cream. YUM!!!
The staff was very friendly, the service was prompt, and the surroundings were spotless.

Where is there a library downtown? Or are you talking about the old one that closed up last year? LOL

I just ate at Twisted Crepe tonight. It was excellent in every way! Dustin, the owner, is a great guy and he had a long conversation with my girlfriend and I about his business. His crepes are more "American" style than the simple French variety. The crepe itself is a bit thicker and cooked crispier. The menu is VERY large with tons of pre-arranged options and a great build-your-own section (unlimited veggies!). They use Boar's Head meats and cheeses for the savory crepes, and lots of fruits and Nutella for dessert crepes. The girlfriend had turkey with bleu cheese and I had veggie and cheese – both were great and very filling. We had to give the dessert choices a try and had a banana/nutella/caramel one that came with delicious whipped cream (fresh?) and blueberries. It was a ton of food and cheap as dirt! Our dinner crepes were a mere $12 total. Dustin also has a breakfast menu – served all day – with tasty-sounding egg crepes. He said his most popular is mozarella/egg/3 veggies and it's only $3. I'll definitely be going back.

Not sure what the above comment by Rachel was about. The whole place was sparkling clean and the bathroom was spotless.

In response to Rachel's comment, she obviously has gotten twisted crepe mixed up with another eating establishment. The restaurant is always extremely clean and the bathroom is always immaculate. But then again the people that take the time to complain with undue cause obviously have no life.

We've eaten there and had high hopes, BUT the place was not very clean, especially the rest rooms. That's a bad sign in any eating establishment. No further details necessary, but we definitely won't be returning.
