Michael Muller of the Mountain Xpress, citing unnamed sources, reports that Moog Music will move its manufacturing facility from Riverside Drive in Woodfin to 170 Broadway just north of the I-240 overpass near downtown Asheville. The building once housed the Dinner for the Earth grocery store.

Moog Music also plans to open a retail shop and a museum at the location, Muller reports. Moog officials will only say they plan to make an announcement on Friday, according to Muller’s report.

So, who’s got the skinny? Can anyone confirm?

This project received Community Development Block Grant money through the City of Asheville’s Housing and Community Development Committee with City Council approval. It’s also receiving Tourism Product Development Fund money through the Tourism Development Authority.
