Highland Brewing is building new tasting room

Just heard on Twitter (which directed me to Facebook) that Highland Brewing is building a new tasting room. The photos that are posted show what appears to be a major expansion of Highland’s in-brewery tasting room in east Asheville. The brewery is located on the site of the old Blue Ridge Motion Pictures complex.

I haven’t seen any information on this big development. Can anyone enlighten me?

I love the tasting room scene at Asheville’s craft breweries. It’s a chill scene. And it’s been fun to see it develop. The brewery tasting rooms have become first-rate venues to catch local music, and several offer good eats.
