Help identify owner of dog that bit woman in downtown Asheville

Can anyone help? Note here from loyal reader Jeff:

Ash ~ This sucks. My girlfriend got bit by what looked to be a pit bull/boxer mix dog last week at 534 Biltmore Avenue. Animal control could never find the dog and the owner never stepped forward so she’s going to have to undergo a series of rabies shots… if they don’t find that dog by Wednesday.

She described the dog as looking similar to the dog on the cover of this week’s Mountain Xpress.

This happened about 11:30a last Thursday… The dog seemed to be waiting outside the door of Mission’s fitness & sports facility.

Shots are being held off for a few more days.

Thanks for posting this Ash. I hope the owner of the dog calls Animal Control so she can avoid all those nasty shots.
