Eddie Harwood confirmed with us today that if no one signs up to run against Van Duncan in the Democrat primary that he would. Harwood, a successful businessman and long time conservative Democrat, is well known in Buncombe County. A contractor by trade, Harwood is known for his straight talk and contributions to his community.

Harwood’s brother is the Sheriff of Madison County.

And what law enforcement experience does he have other than being related to a sheriff? I know the Sheriff’s job is political, but you are running a law enforcement organization. Sounds like a political stunt, and a bad one at that.
