City of Asheville Candidates Respond to RiverLink Survey

RiverLink staff and board compiled a series of questions about the The French Broad River, and the Wilma Dykeman RiverWay Plan.  We distributed  the survey questions to  all the candidates seeking  election  to the  Asheville City Council  on November 3, 2009.  We very much appreciate the candidates for being willing to run for public office.  We also appreciate the candidates who took the time to let us know their thoughts about water and its  importance to our city and region.  We hope these answers will motivate you to go out and vote,  if you have not done so already.

To view the candidates answers visit RiverLink’s blog at http://www.getriverlinked.blogspot.com.  The candidate’s answers are also available at Ashvegas and the Buncombe County League of Women’s Voters WebPages.  If you would like to take the survey to see how your thoughts  stack up against the candidates visit our WebPages at riverlink.org.

RiverLink is a  watershed based non-profit spearheading the economic and environmental revitalization of the French Broad River and its watershed as a destination where everyone can live, work and play.

Visit our WebPages to sign up for our email newsletter or to volunteer. For more information contact RiverLink at 828-252-8474, ext 110 or email us at [email protected].
