I find it comforting that Bob Dobbs and the Flying Spaghetti Monster cannot be burned.
It’s sad that they’re planning a book burning.
On the other hand, there isn’t much practical difference between this situation and that of any other church which discourages all non-Scriptural reading.
This is just more sensational.
they should hold it at the teabag nutjob party. peas in a pod…
There are so many IGNORANT people out there.
OH, and I forgot to add…
He’s gonna burn books by BIlly Graham?? Obviously, he’s never heard the story of Billy driving the limo. 🙂
Hmmm, so who exactly is this guy to say all the other versions are wrong?? And what makes him sooo sure he is the only one who is right?
I predict Sarah Palin will be there with a Bic lighter. Alert the media!

Hey, look how much coverage Fred Phelps and his Westboro Baptist Church get. They only have 71 confirmed members (and 60 of them are his family).
I’d like to jump to the defense of this little church on an issue that I too have been saying for years, and that is, that James Dobson, Jimmy Swagart, and Oral Roberts are Satan’s minions; can’t argue there. These folks don’t leave anyone in the Christian faith out, that is except themselves. You’re all going to Hell! I love it!
… and the only real way to salvation is by submersion in the nearby Pigeon River. Nice.
This church has 14 members. Yes, 14. Yet it was the lead story on WLOS one night last week and is not getting further attention. Once again the perils of the 24 hour news cycle are being thrust upon us and a very small and very fringe group becomes the beneficiary of it. Andy Warhol was right.
This is why , even though I am spiritual, don’t call myself "christian". Theist.
A poor witness to any belief system, does more harm that any "devil".
Sounds like a hoot. Will any local candidates be speaking?

14 Member Parish, wowzers. Way to spread the message, this is just ignorance, or a sad little cry for attention.
King James bible only? really? seriously? Edited for one man’s liking?
God help them.
The story ran last Friday. It got picked up this week by several NC and national news agencies. It’s still on their website: http://wlos.com/shared/newsroom/top_stories/wlos_vid_1033.shtml
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.
holyshit!
