All we need now is Quaker State & Lube. Then we are all set in the wing dept. Welcome Bw’s!
BW3 is awesome. The thia(now spicy Asian) is where it’s at. Went to the one in Greenville NC all the time when I was a Student at ECU.
I soooo missed B-Dubs since my move down here two years ago… I even joked about trying to open the chain down here myself!
My bad Jason. You’re right. BW3 will probably turn around the recession for this region. I hope no one read my post.
(It was a really dumb comment.)
The one thing I’ve missed since I moved to A-ville was b-dubs. They have one in Hickory but who wants to drive that far to eat? Wild Wings on Biltmore has been a fair stop-gap, I find the sauces aren’t as tasty as b-dubs tho. Although to be fair to Wild Wings, I’ve only tried 6 of their sauces. Also, Buffalo Wild Wings have a higher quality chicken. All the wings I’ve gotten on Biltmore have been a little slimy (except for the dry-rubbed Boss wings).
I love wings, and more places to get them always makes me happy.
And Miss Daisy, didn’t your mother teach you that if you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything? Heaven forbid any company brings more jobs to asheville to stimulate the economy, regardless of your opinion on sports or chicken wings.
I’ve been to a bunch in VA and around the south. They’are pretty comparable to Wild Wing, but the service is much better. I’ve never had good service at Wild Wings.
B-Dub’s will be great…just wish they were coming to the south side of AVL. Their wings are better than Wild WIng Cafe and their sauces are also better. They have regular food as well. The atmosphere is great for watching sports! WELCOME!
Jeez, how many managers did they hire to come here and pimp BWW?
It’s the same damn thing as Wild Wings on Biltmore.
If you want good wings go to Mack Kells or the new Ale House right across from Wild Wings.
Mediocre chain food and mediocre beer with lots of TV screens. Marginally better than an empty building. Of course I think wings are garbage food and have no use for watching other people play sports, so there’s that.
Nice place, used to go to one in Northern Virginia all the time. Good food, lots of tvs for football, never really that loud which seemed like a strange comment from the above poster, but whatever. More jobs to the area which is even better and it looks like there are more places hiring now. Can’t wait for the new Urban Outfitters to open!!! Hope they make that corner look nice.
I’ve been to Buffalo Wild Wings several times in various cities during my business travel. It’s good, but certainly not anything spectacular. Lots of screens to watch the games, and many different sauces for the wings (about the same number as Wild Wings Cafe on Biltmore.)
The one thing they all tend to have in common is that they are very LOUD. I’ve found it difficult to carry on conversations with people at the same table due to all the noise. The ones I have been to all have high ceilings (like the Don Pablos building) that echo and seem to amplify all the tipsy and drunken sports fans and 20-somethings trying to pick up other 20-somethings.
Used to visit WW3 in Tallahassee all the time! It’s a great wing place and lots of fun Trivia! Glad something is finally filling the empty building!
Used to frequent a Buffalo Wild Wings in the midwest. Lots of TV screens, good sporting atmosphere. But IMO the wings are not as good as Wild Wings on Biltmore Ave.
buffalo wild wings is highly recommended, have one in high point nc. It is a great place to watch the games or bring the kids. They have the ntn trivia interactive games to play which is fun as well.
the teriyaki sauce is the best. I actually get my boneless wings dipped in sauce and also get a cup of the sauce as well to double dip the wings.
