A jumble of updates and updates wanted:

– Cold Mountain Ale: What’s up with my favorite holiday beer, Cold Mountain Winter Ale, from Highland Brewing? Is it brewing in vats now? When will it be on sale? It sells fast, so I’m trying to make plans now.

– Christmas Jam: I’d like to know the latest on the Warren Haynes Christmas Jam, which hits in December.

– Zombie Walk: Good update from Mountain Xpress on the annual Zombie Walk in Asheville. Looks like it’s on hold this year, although there’s a planned “pub shamble.”

– The Sazerac: Asheville’s new cocktail bar going in on Broadway in downtown Asheville could open in mid-October. Can’t wait!

What else is in need of an update?

    what else needs an update?
hmmm, the State Legislature, County Commission, State Highway Department, and any other asshats that have delayed making Swannaoa River Road/Amboy Street ,, Sweeten Creek Road. and Brevard Road 4 lane streets all these years.
    THAT needs an update, bad.

Christmas Jam ~ Warren Haynes said on a radio interview that it would be 12/12 and one night only. No mention of guests.

I did a Brews Cruise tour for part of my bachelor party proceedings about a week and a half ago and saw during our tour that Cold Mountain is in the tank(s) as we speak. Word has it that they are upping production from last year, which means even more will be available. I found it in great quanitities at Ingles and other retailers last year.
