Story from the Hendersonville Times-News:

FLAT ROCK — A single-engine plane crashed in heavy fog in the Kenmure community Thursday afternoon, killing well-known Fletcher businessman Larry Joe Youngblood.

Youngblood, 65, was the only person on board, according to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office. He is the former owner of Fletcher BMW and is the brother of Hendersonville lawyer Ken Youngblood.

Dispatchers received a 911 call from a Kenmure resident at 2:15 p.m.

The plane was found in the woods about 100 yards from Old Poplar Lane near Overlook Drive as a dense fog hovered over the area.
