No person is forced to enroll in Medicare, but all insurance companies licensed to sell insurance in his state may disqualify him from enrollment in a primary health insurance plan at any price. Age discrimination that, for a conscientious objector to participation in Medicare or Medicaid, could become a matter of life and death.

It is as if state insurance commissions and the insurance companies that they license to sell in each state are acting as cartels, preventing residents of each state from buying insurance from foreign insurance companies that sell expensive primary health insurance to persons over 65 years of age.

I was forced to enroll in Medicare because if I didn’t I would have lost my private insurance coverage which has now become my secondary insurer. From the first day I started with Medicare I have racked up as many medical bills as I could. So far I have obtained five power scooters at an average cost of 1,800.00 each. I jog 3.5 miles so I hardly need a power scooter. I visit the emergency room at least twice a month with pains in my chest. The hospital performs a whole multitude of tests costing at least 5,000.00 to ensure they won’t get sued for malpractice. By the way, I have no heart problems at all. I have found a doctor from India who is more than willing to pad the medical bills and of course I go along with his fraud. The first year I was on Medicare I racked up over 400,000.00 in medical bills that Medicare paid.

If the American people get national health care rammed down our throats the only way we can overcome the system is by bankrupting it. It can be done if enough people do what I am doing. If the system goes broke the government won’t have enough money to bail it out because the bill will keep piling up and the government is at the point where it can’t borrow any more money. If the system crashed then the government will be out of the health care system once and for all. If you believe in America you will resist the take over of our health care system by the government. Remember, the government is not your friend it is your enemy.

I wonder how many of these protestors are card carrying Medicare members? I bet they are going to leave the rally and go shop at Walmart to support America!

Asheville Dweller has a gross misunderstanding of the First Amendment–an example of the stupidity and childish naivety of the Teabagging, Birthers, Death Panelists who are mounting these loud-mouthed heath care reform protests. The First Amendment says nothing about having to accept or even tolerating ‘opposing points of view.’ Can you imagine what deep shit we’d be in if these wingnut retards ever won a election? And that’s what they’re really pissed over–they lost and a black man is in the White House. A Nazi at that! Clearly Asheville Dweller and his/her ilk lack the intelligence and basic understanding of American history to influence public policy. That’s why they shout nonsense, bring up emotional argument that have no basis in reality, i.e. birth certificates, death panels, Socialism et al. Facts, figures, logic has no appeal to them because they are unable, and unwilling to deal with anything other than Obama is a Nazi and other emotional outbursts. But, they have guns and they show up with them at their Tea Parties Talking nonsense about the First Amendment and Socialism about which they don’t have a clue.

My apologies for posting such a lengthy comment, but the actual words of the Asheville Tea Party group do more to reveal their true motives than any commentary and I hated to leave any of it out.

The so-called non-partisan Asheville Tea Party has organized a rally to protest against Health Care reform. Apparently they want to have a public “tar and feathering” of Heath Shuler under the guise of Town Hall Meeting.
They have an on-line petition of 200 people who want Heath Shuler to show up and take a public flogging. (NOTE: In scanning the 200 names, you’ll see several folks have signed the petition multiple times and others simply singed Anonymous)

Read the comments on the petition and decide for yourself if the Tea Party crowd are truly a group of non-partisans who “simply want to ask Congressman Shuler a few question”

…WARNING: These are actual comments on the petition from actual Ashevillians…some whose names are quite famiiliar(see: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/shuler1/signatures-1.html )

"…Unless you want to be voted out of office, I suggest you start doing the peoples work, and ignore the communist president, and his cult following of mindless elitist and socialist."….."

WE DO NOT WANT THE HEALTH REFORM WE DO NOT WANT ANY MORE STIMULUS MONEY SPENT WE DO NOT WANT THE CAP AND TRADE WE DO NOT WANT SOCIALISM AND WOULD VOTE TO IMPEACH OBAMA

Are you a coward , or are you a Patriotic American casting aside your party loyalty for the good of The United States of America ; and voting against all of Obama`s socialist agendas` ??

You are a disgrace to WNC. You are a coward and a lapdog. I am particularily disturbed to hear you pray at BBC knowing that you support abortion and homosexual marriage.

I am ready to move to mexico where I can live comfortably on what I have. Then I would not be paying all these taxes that I do not benefit from. I am tired of obama and his lies. People are seeing through him and his chances of a reelection is getting slim.

The only thing that we Tea Party members have in common is that we are sick and tired of the Obama administration destroying all that is good about America…freedom and opportunity!!!

For me, the answer to the retaining question will be presented to you on Nov. 2, 2010, On that day it will by my pleasure to fire you.

Are you going to vote for a bill that will publicly fund abortions? Are you going to vote for a bill that will eventually take us to socialized medicine? Are you going to vote for a bill that would have federal employees come into our homes and tell us how to raise our children including telling us how many children we can have?

I feel that you should meet with us and hear our very real concerns, Give us that respect. We feel no one is listening to us, and we are portrayed as fools by a press that opened wide all of the doors for Obama to be president.

All this and we want to see the birth certificate too.

Just one question for the "non-partisan" TeaParty organziers.

Did you organize a Town Hall protest when Richard Burr spoke in Asheville?
DId you shout and holler and wave signs during his appearance?

Where can I watch the videos of your non-partisan Tea Party protesters contronting Richard Burr with heated questions?

I’m serious…….if you really want thinking independent voters to buy into your claims of being non-partisan then show us your pix and videos of staged protests against someone other than just the Democrats.

I am enjoying the irony of the appropriation of J W Booth’s catch phrase juxtaposed with the American flags. Priceless.

Asheville Tea Party group to protest ‘socialized medicine.’ Veterans Administration and Medicare are "socialized medicine," will these folks burn their VA and Medicare cards to show their sincerity? Thus always to tyrants!

Sic semper tyrannis is a Latin phrase meaning "thus always to tyrants". It is sometimes mistranslated as "death to tyrants". It is most known as the official motto of Virginia and for its usage during the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.

1 Million Strong Against our SOCIALIST Fire Departments

    Basic Info

Name: 1 Million Strong Against our SOCIALIST Fire Departments
    Type: Organizations – Community Organizations
Description: For too long now, fire departments across the United States have been socialist organizations, resulting in taxes on the American people.

FACT: Most Americans never use the socialized services of the fire department. The Obama administration has been very clear about keeping the status quo when it comes to taxpayer-funded fire departments.

It is time to open the fire department up to private industry. We have the best fire departments in the world in the US, but that doesn’t mean that anyone (even non-US citizens) should be able to dial up and have fires put out, etc. There are private companies (Halliburtion, Etc.) who could step in tomorrow and take over every fire department in America and charge the consumer directly.

This is AMERICA. NO FREE FIRE SAFETY.

These spineless idiots are far from a non-partisan, grass roots movement. They are driven like lemmings by Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh.

    POLITICAL COMMERCIAL

"This is your brain. This is your brain on Neocon, racist crap. Any questions?"

Get a life folks! Clear your angry minds and try to embrace some hope for the future of America.

It is simple. It’s called patriotism. You waved the flag for eight-years for a complete idiot. How about at least some effort for a man who actually has a mind and some balls to get things moving in the right direction?

Oh, I forgot, he is African American. Sorry about that.

See you Friday. I’ll be one of those making your already miserable lives even more miserable.

Glad to know someone is looking out for the profits of the insurance corporations instead of the American people.

    Boy, can I sleep better.
