I observed the other day that the right seems to get way, way more out there than the left when they’re out of power…

Wow, Ashville has their own Timothy McVeigh wannabee?
I wouldn’t have thought this possible, coming from such a fantastic community.

I believe this back-and-forth is getting silly, AD, so why don’t we agree to cease and desist. Especially since I now know where you get all your knowledge and information. No offense Ash, but BLOGS? Enough said.

Ahhh Im not a Rush fan unless you count the Prog Rock Canadian band. How typical Point a finger and call a name at someone who doesnt worship your political spectrum, There is no right or left they both are currupt. Couldnt stand Bush either, so again epic failure on your part there.

And just so you know your poster boy Obama has spent more then Bush ever dreamed of spending in 6 months to 8 years, thats with 2 wars. You might want to turn off NPR and getting your infor from blogs for a change. If Obama had an R by his name you would be attacking him. So narrow minded to place your self in such childish groups.

    Gang warfare never solves anything.

Once again, Asheville Dweller, where were you when President Bush was spending your money and stealing that of your childrens’ for the likes of his rich cronies? Iraq, Cheney and Haliburton? Talk about "pet projects". Truth is you do not know or pay attention to anything. "Progressive and narrow minded". I think a heard Rush say that one day when I made the mistake of hitting that spot on the dial. DOUBLE YAWN, Ditto Head.

Well Tea Parties aren’t popular in good ol feel good Asheville unless the protest is something useless, that effects just a couple of folks. But the goverment spending our money, and borrowing our childrens, childrens money for pet projects and all that Hope and change is ok. If Obama had an R by his name it would be a different story.

And for the lecture . . . YAWN. Thanks for history lesson I already knew. I thought it was funny because he mentioned the last time this happened there was guns but if I was as Progressive and narrow minded as you.

I guess Sanford doesn’t like the Tea Parties. Did I get that right?

I think Eric nailed it. Notice there wasn’t a shooting at the time gun-nut poster boy was protesting.

I have been out of the mix for awhile, but just couldn’t pass on this one:

So you think this guy’s poster is great, Asheville Dweller? HA HA? I would not take his threatening sentiment too lightly. Have you ever heard of The Posse Comitatus? It is an intermittently active, loosely organized group of Christian Identity activists dedicated to survivalism, vigilantism and anti-government subversion. They don’t believe in paying any taxes, any form gun control and are generally intolerant of anyone who doesn’t practice their Jesus-based form of fundamental religion. They also tend to have a problem with people of color. What a shocker, huh?

Our “poster boy”, or someone just like him, will probably be the next crazy Right Wing nutbag to storm into some government office, museum or monument- guns blazing – killing innocent people largely because of his FOX News/Rush Limbaugh inspired ignorance and hatred. If I were one of the Tea Party contingent, I would be awfully concerned that more of his ilk might start attending these little anti-Obama, anti-taxation, anti-nationalized health care, anti-everything rallies. It makes the group look more dangerous and ridiculous than it already does. Where were these same so-called fiscal conservatives for the past eight years – when their man George was spending like a drunken sailor on an illegal war, taxing John & Jane Q. Public so that his richest 1% group of corporate buddies could get massive financial breaks, thereby running up the national deficit to record proportion – and creating the very same financial mess our new President is now trying to clean-up? It seems that since we finally have an African-American in the White House it’s finally time to protest. The timing smacks of racism. The Tea Parties are so obviously unpatriotic – that is if the definition of patriotism includes making some sacrifices and hoping our nation succeeds.

There is no such thing as a free lunch. These folks should grow up and stop wasting time waving around American flags like that means something.

The sign seems like a threat of some sort. . . maybe someone needs to talk to him before things gets out of hand.
