CINCINNATI – Western Carolina University Chancellor John Bardo is being courted as a possible replacement for University of Cincinnati President Nancy Zimpher, who recently left for the State University of New York.

UC’s search committee has presented several names to the university’s trustees, including Bardo (who is a Cincinnati graduate) and James Barker, president of Clemson University, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Each nominated candidate will be invited by the committee to apply.
