Gas prices have been climbing steadily for about the past 10 days, and they’re up 5 cents a gallon overnight on my street — from $2.38 a gallon to $2.43.

That’s just great.

Isnt it something that when our gas prices drop and get better, the people on Wallstreet are pulling their hair out? Even Opec says they want to see gas prices go UP so that they can make more money. Something just does not make sense. When our gas prices dropped to $2.00 a gallon, they said the economy was not doing good at all. But when the gas prices go back up, they say the US is pulling out of the recession. Go figure?

It must be a slow news cycle this week in the Queendom of Asheville. Unless a driver has been in a comma for the past several years, the rise in gas prices couldn’t possibly be news to anyone. How could informing people what they already know be interesting to the readers of Ashvegas?

Oil isn’t going to last forever; be glad that you were able to buy gas for cheap over the past few months, and frankly, we don’t pay that much for gas even at 3.50 a gallon.

My cost for gas this morning is $2.42 a gallon. I got a tanker load yesterday.
I’m selling it for $2.45 a gallon. Look for it to reach $2.55 to $2.65 by June 10 through June 15th.

Just like I said last fall. The prices are going to go up and up to around $75 to $100 a barrel. So you fat people better get rid of those SUVs and PUs now while you can still sell them.
