Blog bits: The rise of a gang called Sur 13, rhododendrons are pretty and more

Some assorted noise:

-A gang I’ve not heard of called Sur 13 is apparently resurgent in Henderson County.

-The rhododendrons this spring have been spectacular. Check out the rhododendrons ringing Hometrust Bank in downtown Asheville for just one example.

-More free fast food. Chick-fil-A is really pushing its new breakfast menu in June. Every Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., you can get a free breakfast entree, such as a chicken biscuit or Chick-n-Minis, whatever they are. (This info applies to the Asheville Mall location of the store.)

-WLOS reports this morning that the body of a 50-something Asian woman was found in Beaver Lake in north Asheville. More to come on that.
