Great shot, Ash: there’s so much going on in the frame.
Incredible shot, Ash!
Perhaps the men hide because it a protective pose. they are scared, and angry. I would be too if I believed what they were being fed.
another Wilkes County expat here as well, Andrew. i feel your pain.
Why are the three men in the shot working so hard to conceal their identities? Don’t they know the gummit implanted tracking devices in their arms back in the 70’s under the guise of a polo vaccine? You can run but you can’t hide fellas! Better stock up on some more tin foil.
I agree with all the comments here. Good eye, Jason!
From the looks of it, these people will be getting tax CUTS under the Obama administration. So wtf are they protesting — their own self-interests?!?
I’m from Wilkes County folks. The foothills. I moved to Asheville to get AWAY from the Jingo Circus.
Go figure.
almost the perfect shot. the lady to the right just enough into the frame for it to be distracting, still nice shot.
This is a beautiful shot – perfect.
Congrats.
thanks skippy. looks like you’re right. i thought any viewer could click over to get the larger size, but that’s not the case. i’ll get to loading the pix to this site and see if i can get it to show up as a larger size.
great shot! but when i click it, it stays the same size, and seems to be the only size available for these shots on flickr. am i missing something?
Yes, Dean.
Thanks, Don. This is definitely my favorite, especially when you click on it and see it larger.
Very interesting photo….AP should pick this photo up.
The sign, the facial expression, her blue shirt against the background of American flags, and flanked by the man with a flag in his coat and a white hat and the white-haired woman with dark glasses.
This photo tells a story as all photo journalism should. Great work !!!
Ah, so those are the people who watch FOX News.
At least we know the enemy – it’s us. 😉
Peace ya’ll. We’ll get through this if we work together. Don’t blame Bush tax issues on Obama.
